Storm & hail documentation

Storm damage roof repair and hail documentation

After a storm, get documented before you file. We inspect, photograph and date what the storm did, and what's just age, so you know what's there. We don't argue coverage. We prove necessity. Insurance determines coverage. You own your claim and decide the outcome. We're the construction expert, not the claim advocate.

What we do, and what we don't

We document, measure and explain what the roof needs to meet code and the manufacturer's instructions. You write and submit your own claim. We don't negotiate with your carrier, and we never pay or waive a deductible.

Questions homeowners ask

How do I know if my roof has hail damage if I can't see anything from the ground?

You usually can't tell from the ground. Hail bruises shingles and dents soft metals on the roof. A documented inspection with test areas and close-up photos shows what the storm did, and what's just age. Show the good areas too.

Should I file a claim for hail damage on my roof?

That's your decision, and it's your claim. Get documented first so you know what's there. Check your policy for its reporting deadline, and never delay notifying your carrier. We give you the photos and the measurements.

Can a roofer pay my deductible for me in Texas?

No. A Texas contractor cannot pay, waive or rebate your deductible. See Texas Insurance Code Chapter 707 and Business & Commerce Code §27.02.

Can you handle my claim for me?

No, and in Texas a contractor can't. You own the claim and submit it directly to your carrier. Our role is the construction side: documentation, code and manufacturer requirements, and answering technical questions.

Shingles blew off my roof in the wind. Will insurance pay for that?

Your policy decides coverage, not your roofer. What we can do is document what came off, when, and what the roof needs to be put back to code and manufacturer requirements.

See what your roof is telling you before you decide anything.

  1. Book a roof inspection.
  2. We bring your roof system down to you. The good, the bad, what's failing, in photos.
  3. You decide.
